Wild Flowers & Weeds, the new scents from Jo Malone

Jo Malone has released a limited new collection of scents and this time it’s inspired by the unruly weeds and wildly-wonderful plants and flowers that line the banks of a winding river (says the lady herself).

I sampled these little gems in their Chester store before they went live online and instantly fell in love which let’s face it isn’t that hard, wish I could drape myself in all things Jo Malone, head to toe!

Here’s a run down of the ones I fell for…

Willow & Amber – The expressive weeping willow, gently draping across the fresh morning water. Captured in the woody pairing of cashmere wood and smoky vetiver, enhanced by softly sensual amber (JM description). It’s so light & fresh making it perfect for an everyday use. I can really pick up the amber and reminds me of Dark Amber & Ginger Lily but subtle.

Cade & Cedarwood – The smouldering embers of a wood-burning stove at nightfall. Basking in the warm and comforting glow of cade – its smoky scent mingled with cedarwood and complemented by a mouth-watering hint of sensual vanilla (JM description). This has a depth to it and because I’m into woody undertones, especially cedarwood this is why I like this but what’s so amazing with this and all Jo Malone perfumes, this pairs really well Willow & Amber so bring this to a more floral scent.

Lupin & Patchouli – Reminiscent of canal banks, awash with colour. A rainbow of lupin flowers, enriched by luxurious rose and deepened with rebellious patchouli. A surprising contrast with the fresh vibrancy of mandarin (JM description). It’s floral, spicy textures makes this scent unique for me as it’s not what I would normally go for but wanted to try something different and it’s so lovely.

If you buy two scents, these are presented and gift wrapped in a stunning box, there are three colours to chose from. Whilst in store I purchased the Cade & Cedarwood and the Lupin & Patchouli BUT all afternoon the scent of Willow & Amber was so amazing I then purchased a few weeks later two of these beauts. I’ve been caught out before loving their limited edition scents so didn’t want to run out anytime soon.

If you haven’t already make sure you check these out Jo Malone They are so stunning and perfect now Spring time has arrived.

Big love, Nic xx
