Other Little Loves

My Holiday Outfit Shopping Treats

With less than a week to go till week set off for our family holiday, I decided to take myself off to Cheshire Oakes for some holiday outfit shopping treats.

I went a few weeks ago and took Grace and my friend but it was not meant to be. Grace was on form and pushing all limits from running out of shops like a speed of lightening along with throwing herself on the floor having numerous tantrums.

I needed (scrap that I wanted) some new pieces to complete my holiday attire and the list consisted 1 x pair of shoes, 2 x swimsuits & a top or two BUT like any shopping lover, you always come out with more!

Top of the agenda and must have’s for the trip was swimsuit. I’m not 100% happy with my body at the moment however I am not ashamed of it, I’m just a little larger and flabbier than I’d like to be but I know when I have more time, I’ll be back keeping fit again. I’m currently a tight size 14 (12 stone 3lbs) and would like to be a 12/14 (11 stone), so not silly amounts to lose. Therefore the bikinis are going in a holding bay for another time and I’m saying hello to swimsuits. Pic below (top left) was from Next at £24. (right) also from Next at £34. Last up (bottom left) was from French Connection at only £10 (sale items are awesome).

I went with the intention of buying some vests to go with my casual shorts but ended up buying some playsuits. Pic below (top left) was from Next Outlet and was only £12. The other two jumpsuits both from the main Next store (Bottom left) plain black was £20, (right), the navy cherry suit was only £24.

Back to the list I picked tops up. Pic below (top left) this casual white top was from Next as well as (bottom left) black lace top. The last one (right) is from Guess. Both of these black tops are going to go well with my flowy skirts for night time.

Finally and my biggest treat was in Kurk Geiger. I love this brand. I’m always on the hunt for discounts or sales from KG and hit sites like Shoeaholics due to their amazing reductions. Cheshire Oakes has a store which have amazing discounts so its hard to stop at one pair. Pic below (top left), bronze flats which were really comfy. These should’ve been £39 but were £24. Next (bottom left) a off white, almost cream coloured shoes. Originally £39, reduced to £19. Last pair (right) brown, block heel sandals. I really love these and they so nice with jeans. I know they will also look fab with dresses/skirts. They were £79 but walked away with a bargain at £59.

My last purchase was also from Kurt Geiger. My friend brought this last time we were there. It was such a bargain and the bag was so lush I had to get it too (please forgive me)… pic below, simply round black bag, with soooooo much space. This should’ve been £44 but had a further 20% off in store, so a steel at just £35.80.

Next holiday in July is a long weekend away, kids free for a friends 40th. Will need to rethink the wardrobe for that one, so watch this space.

Happy bank holiday weekend everyone

Big love, Nic x
